Join us for our Founders’ Pledge launch and mixer at Runway Incubator, a hub for forward thinkers, entrepreneurs and startups. Meet current companies who have committed to giving back to the community, and hear from a few trailblazers who are setting trends in a new, exciting philanthropic movement.

Spearheaded by Full Circle Fund, a Bay Area engaged philanthropy organization, the Founders’ Pledge is an innovative approach to philanthropy that facilitates companies integrateing contributions to social causes and civic engagement directly into their culture by committing time, skills and equity to nonprofit organizations. Speakers will include: Ebony Frelix, VP of Programs at the Salesforce.com Foundation, who will speak on the 1/1/1 model and the importance of giving back; Travis Bryant, VP of Sales at Optimizely, who will describe why the Founders’ Pledge is relevant to Optimizely and its goals; and Joe Kleinschmidt, CEO & Co-founder of Obindo, who will discuss how a dynamic, lean startup can still commit to social change.

About the Speakers

Ebony Frelix – VP of Programs, the Saleforce.com Foundation

Ebony Frelix is the Vice President of Programs at the Salesforce.com Foundation, where she manages the Foundation’s programs and grants to advance the Foundation’s 1-1-1 integrated philanthropy model. At the Salesforce.com Foundation, Ebony and her team are responsible for engaging more than 15,000 employees in community service opportunities and administering millions of dollars in grants to improve communities around the world. Prior to joining the Salesforce.com Foundation in April 2014, Ebony spent more than four years working for salesforce.com in various leadership positions in the technology division.

Travis Bryant – Vice President of Sales, Optimizely

Travis is the VP of Sales for Optimizely, the world's most popular website optimization platform. Travis started with Optimizely in December 2012 when the company was 35 people, guiding triple-digit revenue growth as the organization has grown to over 250 people with offices in San Francisco and Amsterdam.

Before Optimizely, Travis spent 7 years at Salesforce.com, including 2 years as Vice President of Platform Commercial Sales. His path to Sales was not the obvious one, having started his career as a Java developer at Chevron after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Information Systems in 2001.


Joe Kleinschmidt CEO & Co-Founder, Obindo

Joe Kleinschmidt is the CEO and Co-Founder of Obindo. Previously he co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer for Leverage Software, an enterprise social networking start-up which was later acquired by Telligent. Joe is passionate about product innovation and has helped to develop successful software products in a variety of areas, including biotech, web publishing, and financial services.

Joe is also serves on the Board of Directors of Full Circle Fund.
